How employers are using social media to find students

Victoria Tomlinson of Northern Lights had two speaking slots at the University of Southampton’s HealthPharma Conference in the summer. The first one was talking to students about how employers are using social media – both to check out behaviours online but also using search engines (Google, LinkedIn, Twitter etc) to find students. It is important to understand the search engine process so that students include keywords in their LinkedIn and other profiles. They can also blog to demonstrate their expertise and awareness of issues around their specialist area.
