The P&A Partnership announces 78 jobs saved as buyer found for FW Mason & Sons Ltd

Administrators today (June 22) announced that flooring specialists Atkinson & Kirby Ltd have bought Nottingham timber company F W Mason & Sons Ltd, saving 78 jobs.
Andy Wood and Christopher White of The P&A Partnership, Sheffield, who were appointed administrators on March 25, have sold the former family business as a going concern with the transfer of 78 jobs.
Atkinson & Kirby Ltd based in Ormskirk, Lancashire are the UK’s leading manufacturer of traditional hardwood flooring.
Commenting on the sale Andy Wood said: “We would like to thank the employees who have worked with the administrators during the last few months to keep the business trading. We were always convinced that there was a good core business and that by continuing to trade and restructuring the business we would find the right buyer.”
During the acquisition The P&A Partnership was advised on the marketing and sale of the business by Charterfields International Valuers and on legal matters by DLA Piper.
