Northern Lights PR, one of Yorkshire’s leading Public Relations and communications consultancies, is inviting graduate applications for a three-week, full-time training programme, with a training allowance.
The programme is aimed at black and minority ethnic graduates, who are currently recognised as being under-represented in PR. It was devised by Taylor Bennett, London, to address this problem and is now in its second year in Yorkshire. Although the programme does not guarantee employment, it is intended to prepare graduates to work in PR in the UK.
During the three weeks, interns will be based between Bradford University School of Management Northern Lights’ office in Harrogate with travel across Yorkshire (expenses covered). The programme will include formal training and masterclasses from industry experts on business, PR, communications, social media, writing and careers with company visits. Interns will also work in groups on real life briefs for major local companies and get an ongoing network of support, mentoring and advice on careers and jobs.
