P&A appoints head of London and southern operations

The P&A Group of Companies, one of the largest independent insolvency and debt collection firms in the UK, has appointed Steve Butt as a partner to head up its London office.
He has more than 20 years experience as a chartered certified accountant, licensed insolvency practitioner and registered property receiver. He spent 18 months seconded to the high risk division of HSBC.
Jeremy Priestley, managing director of P&A, said: “Steve brings particular expertise in helping distressed businesses in London and the south of England. His experience and knowledge will be invaluable in promoting the breadth of P&A’s work. We act for global PLCs as well as accountants, solicitors and business advisors across the UK and Europe and it makes sense for us to have a strong presence in the City.”
Steve Butt, from Chelmsford, Essex, joins P&A from Smith & Williamson where he was an associate director.
