Administrators of Woodhead Bakery have confirmed today (13 April) that they are in detailed discussions with potential buyers for the Scarborough-based business.

Christopher White of The P&A Partnership, Sheffield, who is joint administrator with Gareth Rusling, said: “Negotiations are at an advanced stage with prospective buyers who we are unable to name at present. We are hopeful of securing a sale of the business within the next seven days.”

Woodhead Bakery, which has a factory in Scarborough supplying its 30 shops in the North East, went into administration at the end of March.

The P&A Partnership is a leading specialist business turnaround and insolvency firm with offices across the UK and in London. Their support for businesses includes restructuring, finance brokering, debt collection and selling assets.
