Bradford University School of Management Innovation Club takes to the road on the ‘Ideas Bus’

Bradford University School of Management is inviting business leaders on board its ‘Ideas Bus’ to see first-hand how three top Yorkshire companies have turned their ideas into business results.

The ‘Ideas Bus’ will start at the School of Management on the morning of 13 September. Passengers will spend the day sharing business ideas, seeing examples of innovation in practice and learning how they can apply the success to their businesses.

On board the ‘Ideas Bus’ will be members of the School of Management’s Innovation Club including senior people from Walker Morris, Foster’s Bakery and Northern Lights PR. The tour will include visits to Systagenix in Gargrave, Webanywhere in Keighley and NG Bailey in Bradford.

The School of Management’s Innovation Club was set up to help businesses share knowledge and best practice to break down barriers and encourage innovation. Members, which include Hallmark, Yorkshire Water and Pace Plc, work together in a range of ways to help solve their business problems and develop new ideas for growth.

Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Christos Kalantaridis, who runs the Innovation Club, said: “Innovative businesses want solutions now and since joining the School of Management in January I have been looking at how we can open up our resources to more businesses and link our research to their needs. One way we can do that is to bring business people together to learn from each other about how to make good ideas work and deliver results. The ‘Ideas Bus’ will give business leaders the chance to see this in action and find out how it could work for them.”

After the tour, MBA students from the School of Management will feedback the key learning points of the day.
