We believe that there is a better way for firms to help partner transition, and for partners to be more fulfilled in, retirement. Next-Up are delighted to be holding our first Professional Services Retirement Forum in person on Monday 13 May from 2pm to 5pm followed by drinks and networking.
Womble Bond Dickinson is kindly hosting this and Jonathan Blair, UK managing partner, will set the scene around the wasted value of partners if the retirement process is handled badly. Liam Cowell, UK managing partner at DLA Piper will share his research and thinking around partner value as alumni.
In addition, we have panel sessions with speakers from Clifford Chance, EY, Addleshaw Goddard, Trowers & Hamlins; as well as alumni partners from wide-ranging firms sharing the ups and downs of their retirement journey – and with hindsight what would have helped them.
There will be plenty of time for networking and a few challenges for Forum members to work on in groups. We hope between us we can help all our firms to start creating the ideal model for partner retirement/transition that creates value for everyone.
Please do feel free to share this invitation with others. The event is free and only for those working in the partner retirement space.
