The P&A Group of Companies has promoted Richard Pinder to manage its business rescue and turnaround department.

Mr Pinder, who was previously group sales manager for P&A Receivables Services division, will be working with banks and other funders to review businesses that are in financial difficulties.

Jeremy Priestley, managing partner of The P&A Group of Companies, said: “With his background in banking and brokering, Richard has the right experience and knowledge to run this service.

“Banks and finance companies now require much more information on businesses so they can make informed decisions about funding. By being involved at an early stage and doing a financial health check we are also able to assist a business. We can make recommendations about how it might improve its performance, increase cash flow, and return to profitability. At the same time we can advise funders of the support required from them and any potential risks.”

Mr Pinder, who has a law degree from Liverpool University, worked in banking before joining P&A as a commercial finance broker five years ago.

The P&A Group of Companies, one of the largest independent insolvency and debt collection firms in the country, acts for multinational PLCs and financial institutions as well as accountants, solicitors and business advisors across the UK and Europe.
