Bradford University School of Management has launched a package of scholarships worth £35,000 for its MBA programmes starting in 2011/12.

The School, ranked as one of the UK’s top 10 business schools and the number one in the North of England, is offering seven scholarships worth £5,000 each for full time and executive part-time MBAs.

Dr Sarah Dixon, dean of the School of Management, said: “We are offering MBA scholarships for the first time in response to challenging economic times and because we want to recruit the very best talent – regardless of their personal circumstances.

“We believe that really able candidates should not be denied the chance to study at a leading UK business school because they, or their company, cannot afford the full fees.”

The new scholarships will be awarded in a competitive process, based on academic and professional expertise, to MBA applicants from the UK or EU. Five scholarships are available for both full time and executive part-time MBAs starting this September and two more will be awarded for January 2012 entry to the accelerated and executive part-time MBA.

More information about the scholarships will be available at an MBA preview event at Bradford University School of Management next Tuesday, 8 March at 6pm. Similar events will run in May and throughout the year. For more information, and to book a place, go to http://www.bradford.ac.uk/mbapreviews.

The School’s MBA programmes currently attract UK and international students with managerial experience from over 40 countries including India, China, USA, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. The executive MBA attracts more mature business and public sector professionals who attend the course on a part-time basis and are able to apply their learning to real-time business issues in their organisations.

Companies working with the School and sending managers on executive education and accredited programmes include Morrisons, Pace, Hallmark, local authorities and NHS organisations.
